- 1 credit = 15 hours of webinars + 15 hours of outside work
- 2 credits = 30 hours of webinars + 15 hours of outside work

For example, if you already completed the CISOS Teacher Webinar course in 2020, register for EDUP 9168. If you plan to take a language class, you will register for credit on the last day of the class. The course number is provided on the last day of class along with a certificate of completion.

Synchronous and Asynchronous Distance Learning with Comprehension-Based Communicative Language Teaching

- Course Description:
A series of webinars for language teachers will minimal background in distance learning technology, transitioning to immediate application of online teaching and distance learning strategies. Course is offered by experienced Comprehension-Based teachers and presenters. - Course Objectives:
Symbiotic integration of strategies that support language acquisition with technology synchronously or asynchronously. Language teachers should be able to maintain a focus on providing comprehensible input, creating communicative opportunities and imperfectly but immediately utilizing technology to create lesson plans and content to teach classes using a variety of platforms and applications. - Course Outline (list of webinars below, self-paced)
- Course Expectations
Participants will combine webinars and independent work creating corresponding lesson plans and learning to use technological tools to track hours on the course list.
- Methods of Evaluation
List of tracked hours and completed Zoom or Teachable courses and application of created lesson plans to a shared Google Drive. Participants should show how what was learned can be applied to teaching in the form of practical, useable content and organizational systems, charts or lists.
