Hooking students so they want to participate, activating prior knowledge, ensuring students get the exact kind of TL input they need, sustaining fun TL interaction, and prompting thoughtful student work all start with the kinds of questions teachers ask their students. Come learn to pose the right initial questions and the right follow-up questions to generate compelling interactions and high-quality students work. The session includes a question-asking clinic in which participants devise several questions and strategies applicable to the specific students and content they teach.
