Bad Bunny is now the number one most streamed artist of 2025 with nearly 20 billion streams, bumping Taylor Swift down to number 2.   This crash course in preparing to recognize the songs that may be played, understanding the context and the lyrics will run up through the Superbowl.    Not ALL of the lyrics, though I will have them all translated.  We’ll focus on what you are most likely to hear.
This crash course in songs and lyrics to prepare for the Superbowl Halftime show on February 8th, 2026.  If you cannot attend all of the classes, don’t worry.  We’re building in extra in case attendees can only attend twice a week.    If you can make 6 out of 10 classes, this will be perfect for you.  Between classes you will listen to music, watch music videos, read lyrics and read short, simple biographies of Bad Bunny.   Nothing else.  In class we will start by finding out what words in a song you do not already know.  We will listen to the song and then we will break down the meaning and the definitions.  Expect repeitions of high frequency words, some Puerto Rican cultural context and some groserías (palabrotas) and slang that will make you feel like the smartest person in the room as you understand the Bad Bunny Half Time Show and impress all of your friends.. 1Tuesday, January 20th  4:45-6   Pacific / 5:45pm-7pm / 6:45 Central / 7:45 Eastern

Did you watch the Superbowl Halftime show but not have enough Spanish to understand it?  Did you miss the symbolism?

This crash course is my favorite intermediate Spanish class we have ever taught and it is as valuable, particularly because of the guest speakers, to intermediate language learners as it was leading up to the SuperBowl halftime show with Bad Bunny.

Spanish language learners (or Spanish teachers who want access to the content used in this adult Spanish class- mostly pulled from online resources).  About 10 hours of recordings plus links and resources lyrics and translations and analysis taught in preparation for the Bad Bunny Halftime show.  Live zoom meetings ended in February, 2026, but all recordings are available and remain accessible.

It  ran up through the Superbowl 2026 with a debrief class the week after the class to analyze the music and the symbolism.   It focused on predictions of what songs or excerpts of songs would be played.  Not just the lyrics, but the message

This crash course in songs and lyrics to prepare for the Superbowl Halftime show,  February 8th, 2026.   In addition to classes there is music,  music videos, lyrics and short, simple biographies of Bad Bunny.   Nothing else.  In class we will start by finding out what words in a song you do not already know.  We will listen to the song and then we will break down the meaning and the definitions with a lot of repetition of high frequency words in Spanish.  Puerto Rican cultural context and some groserías (palabrotas) and slang that will make you feel like the smartest person in the room as you understand the Bad Bunny Half Time Show and impress all of your friends and provided by 3 guest speakers who guest taught the class.  Two Puerto Ricans and one Mexican-American Salsa instructor who knows Bad Bunny inside and out.
